Abasto Plaza Hotel Aires fue decorado siguiendo los criterios del Art Decó, pero con una visión actual e integradora. La magnificencia del lobby se refleja en los mármoles verdes de la India y el reconocido botticcino y contrasta a la perfección con algunos de los elementos del lobby, como la araña de 1920 traída especialmente desde Nueva York.

Consagran la obra los cristalitos iluminados por fibra óptica traídos desde Austria de la famosa casa Swarovsky.

Las únicas maderas utilizadas para la decoración son Caoba rallada y Erable (madera clara), fieles exponentes del período Art Decó.

En la entrada se destaca la Pareja de Tango, el mural en cristal tallado más imponente de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Fue realizado por la artista Mirta Kupferminc , pesa alrededor de 320 kilos y sus cristales fueron grabados por el artista Alberto Sussel.
